An aspiring ML engineer who likes to string it all together: be it ideas from different disciplines, people from different teams, or applications from different industries. More than 5 years of hands-on experience in the field of AI and an academic background in engineering, statistics, and machine learning. My excitement lies in solving business problems with tailored data and algorithms and implementing complex ideas in human-centric solutions. I am able to jump across verticals to deliver high-performing AI solutions.

Felicia is currently researching speech features, and speech emotion recognition to facilitate fact-checking public speeches and other events. Felicia is majoring in Natural Language Processing at MBZUAI. Last summer Felicia took an internship under the supervision of the Director of the Big Data Analytics Team researching text similarity. She is a Computer Science graduate from the UK with a GPA of 4.

A disciplined researcher completing a MSc in NLP and seeking to gain experience from industry experts. Experienced in Arabic text and machine learning models. Enthusiast in everything AI and data science. My competencies in machine learning, problem solving and my studious nature would highly contribute to my place of study or work.

Massa is a community leader, AI engineer, and was the lead organizer of the first TEDx event in her country. She was chosen with other 25 interns out of 520 candidates to be an intern at the Microsoft Research Lab. Massa, who was a speaker in the women entrepreneur day powered by the UN, has inspired her community by sharing her experience in leading TEDx and Clerk in high spirit and talking about the challenges she has faced through the way.

Currently I am pursuing my Master's degree at Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Natural Language Processing (NLP). In my last working experience, I was a Data Scientist and Python Developer at Decklaration. My major interests lie in Data Engineering and Data Science and would love to pursue a career in either of these fields after my graduation in. I am very passionate to learn new things as I constantly strive to become a better version of myself. Through my experiences I have learnt that data-driven based strategic decisions are what primarily differentiate a growing business from a stagnant one and that's what drives me to work in the data field.

Shady Shehata is an Associate Professor in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) department at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). Shady Shehata is also the Co-founder and CTO of the YOURIKA company. Out of 4000 competing companies worldwide, Shehata built a strong IP technology for personalized learning that allowed YOUIRKA to be the first and only Canadian company accepted in the Amazon Alexa Funds Competitive Program based on five due diligence interviews with Amazon AI teams. Amazon invested in YOURIKA and is a partner. Shehata built strong relationships with the industry through 70-plus connections at Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. Shehata’s current research pursues a multimodal approach to understanding English and Arabic languages with text analysis and speech recognition. It focuses on building an Arabic language model to be utilized in Arabic natural language processing (NLP) tasks such as sentiment analysis, named-entity recognition, and question answering. The Arabic language model will also be used at the different stages of Arabic speech recognition. The research is taken further to support unsupervised, self-training for using parallel processing.
